Ryman Rewards 

Terms & Conditions

This document describes the terms and conditions (“the Terms”) which apply to your membership of Ryman Rewards.

 

The promoter is Ryman Limited, a company registered in England (Company number 3007166) whose registered office is at Ryman House, Savoy Road, Crewe, Cheshire, CW1 6NA (“Ryman” / “us” / “we” / “our”).



1. Becoming a member of Ryman Rewards (Applicable to Customers)

 

1.1 There are four ways in which you can become a Ryman Rewards member:

 

1.1.1 If you had registered for a Ryman Online account previously, it has now been updated to a Ryman Rewards account. If you were opted out of marketing under your Ryman Online account, you remain so under your new Ryman Rewards account, unless you decide to opt in; 

 

1.1.2 You can register by scanning the QR code as advertised within our stores and then following the relevant steps, including providing your email address and other mandatory information; 

 

1.1.3 You can register at the till within any of our stores with the assistance of a member of our store team; or

 

1.1.4 You can create an account online via the account registration page on the Ryman website here: www.ryman.co.uk/customer/account/create by providing your email address and other mandatory information.

 

2. General terms of Ryman Rewards membership

 

2.1 Membership of Ryman Rewards is available solely to residents of the United Kingdom, who are aged 18 or over. 

 

2.2 Ryman Rewards membership is non transferable, and the benefits of membership can only be used by the registered member.

 

2.3 Each individual shall only be entitled to one Ryman Rewards membership account. We may  refuse, merge or close additional accounts, at any time.

 

2.4 You must not share your membership ID or your membership details with any third party.

 

2.5 Ryman Rewards membership is solely for individual consumers, and not for businesses or commercial entities. You must not use your Ryman Rewards membership in connection with any business transaction or purpose. 

 

2.5.1 Certain customer groups, as detailed in clause 2.5.4, that are entitled to receive 

exclusive discounts outside of Ryman Rewards will not be eligible for any Ryman Rewards benefits. 

 

2.5.2 In order to be eligible to become a member of Ryman Rewards, such customers must 

surrender the exclusive discounts they receive outside of Ryman Rewards. 

 

2.5.3 Such customers may receive marketing in relation to Ryman Rewards 

benefits which they are ineligible for. 

 

2.5.4 Such customer groups include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

i) Holders of Ryman Business Discount Cards as distributed by Ryman;

 

ii) Holders of Education Discount Cards as distributed by Ryman;

 

iii) Business Credit customers of Ryman. 

 

2.6 You must not use any aspect of your Ryman Rewards membership in any way that violates applicable law, or infringes the rights of any individual.

 

2.7 Membership of Ryman Rewards is entirely at our discretion, and accordingly, we reserve the right to refuse any application for membership.

 

2.8 Where we confirm or have evidence to suggest that a Ryman Rewards member does not abide by the requirements set out within the Terms, their account, and all associated data will be deleted.

 

2.9 At present, Exclusive Prices are not available in Ryman Design stores.

 

2.10 The Ryman Rewards scheme is not available in our concession stores within Robert Dyas.

 

3. Customer Member Benefits

 

3.1 Membership of Ryman Rewards entitles you to receive exclusive benefits (Member Benefits) from time to time, including, but not limited to: 

 

3.1.1 A complimentary award of bonus points, or other such promotion on the transaction completed after your successful registration for Ryman Rewards membership; 

 

3.1.2 The potential receipt of bonus points or rewards from time to time throughout the year; 

 

3.1.3 The ability to earn points when spending in our stores, or online. Further information regarding points is outlined below: 

 

i) You must produce your Ryman Rewards ID in order to earn and redeem points in-store, or be logged into your Ryman Rewards account to earn and redeem points online; You will receive your ID via email communications from us, and will be able to download it to your digital wallet, should you have one.  Should you register in one of our stores, we may be able to write down your ID at the till for you;

 

ii) 1 point is earned for every full £1 spent in store, or online (exemptions apply from time to time, at our discretion, in respect of certain products/services/offers eg Western Union/DHL transactions). We reserve the right to substitute or remove product ranges/services/offers applicable at any time, without notice; Points cannot be exchanged for cash; All applicable products are subject to availability;

 

iii) Each point has the monetary worth of 1 Pence; You can view your points balance within your Ryman Rewards account online at any time, by logging into your account; 

 

iv) Points can be redeemed at any time within a 24 month period after they are earned, either in-store or online, and converted into discounts which will be apportioned against applicable products (exemptions apply from time to time, at our discretion, in respect of certain products/services eg Western Union/DHL transactions); We reserve the right to substitute or remove product ranges/services/offers available for redemption at any time, without notice;

 

v) We reserve the right to cancel any points that are unused on your account 24 months after the date they were earned;

 

vi) Should you return a product(s), your points balance will be deducted accordingly, i.e. any points awarded for the original sale will be deducted from your account;

 

vii) In the event you return a product which was purchased as part of a multibuy deal (e.g. 3 for 2) which you’d paid for partly by redeeming points and partly by card, you will be refunded either fully or partially via points and/or card, at our discretion. 

 

3.1.4 Eligibility for Exclusive Prices in-store and online on selected products; You must be logged in to your account online, in order to access Exclusive Prices online, or present your membership details at the till, in order to access Exclusive Prices in store. 

 

3.1.5 Where products are offered at an exclusive Ryman Rewards price no further discount may be applied to the product (for example but not limited to: student discount, blue light discount and other discount codes).

 

3.1.6 Benefits may be extended from time to time, to include for example, eligibility for prize 

draws. 



3.1.7 Electronic confirmation by email when you shop in-store (by scanning your Ryman Rewards ID when making your purchase), plus the ability to access your receipts relating to any purchases you have made, by logging into your Ryman Rewards account.

 

3.2 Certain customer groups, as detailed in clause 3.2.3, that are entitled to receive exclusive discounts outside of Ryman Rewards will be eligible to earn and redeem points via Ryman Rewards; they will not be eligible for any other Ryman Rewards benefits including Exclusive Prices. 

 

3.2.1 Such customers can become Ryman Rewards members as per clause 1.1. To earn and redeem points in-store, customers must produce their Ryman Rewards ID along with their applicable discount card. All applicable benefits will be rewarded automatically when customers shop online and are logged into their Ryman Rewards account. 

 

3.2.2  Such customers may receive marketing in relation to Ryman Rewards benefits which they are ineligible for. 

 

3.2.3 Such customer groups include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

i) Winners of the #SBS weekly competition as promoted by Theo Paphitis Small Business Sunday Limited, with registered company number 08540787;

 

ii) Holders of VIP Discount Cards as distributed by Ryman. 


         

3.3 Fully activated Ryman Rewards customers will be automatically entered into a monthly Rewards prize draw if they shop in-store or online within the calendar month of the draw. Terms and conditions of this monthly prize draw are as follows:

3.3.1 The opening and closing dates of each Prize Draw will be 00:00 am on the first day of the month to 11:59pm on the last day of the month ("Draw Period").

 

3.3.2 Only fully activated Ryman Rewards Members, registered with a UK address, will be eligible to be entered into Prize Draws. To check if you are fully activated, please log in to your account online. If you are able to see your Rewards points balance, you are fully activated. If not, please contact us here.

3.3.3 Theo Paphitis Retail Group Colleagues are not eligible to enter the Prize Draw.

3.3.4 To be entered into the Prize Draw, you must complete a purchase in-store or online within the Draw Period, which is associated with your Ryman Rewards ID.

3.3.5 To enter into the Prize Draw when shopping in-store, you must scan your Ryman Rewards Member ID during the transaction.

3.3.6 When shopping online, purchases will be counted for the purpose of Prize Draws if the Member is logged into their Ryman Rewards account. 

3.3.7 For each single transaction containing Qualifying Items at Participating Stores (each as defined below) during the relevant Draw Period, a Member will receive 1 entry into the Prize Draw. When a Member activates their card for the first time, any transactions made against their Rewards ID in the period between signing up to Ryman Rewards and account activation, will count as entries to the prize draw for the calendar month in which the ID was activated. "Participating Stores" includes all purchases made via ryman.co.uk and in Ryman and Ryman Design stores, excluding our concession stores with Robert Dyas. "Qualifying Items" includes any products purchased from Ryman, with the exclusion of Western Union products, Post Office services (including postage stamps), gift cards and delivery charges. There are no restrictions to the numbers of entries per Member, per Draw Period, but we reserve the right to remove entries from customers buying products intended for resale.

3.3.8 Unless otherwise stated, there will be three winners per Draw Period. 

3.3.9 The first placed prize winner will be awarded a £100 Ryman gift card or online discount code, with 2 x runner up prizes of a £50 Ryman gift card or online discount code each. Winners will be asked to choose between a gift card, which can be used in Ryman or Ryman Design stores, or an online discount code on acceptance of their prize. Gift cards cannot be used in our concession stores with Robert Dyas. From time to time, the nature of the prize may change and any one-off changes will be communicated via marketing materials during that period. 

3.3.10 Prizes will be awarded to entries picked at random within 7 working days of the closing date of each Draw Period (“Prize Draw Date”). Each winner will be contacted by telephone, post or email within 14 working days of the Prize Draw closing, and will be sent their prize no later than 31 days after the Prize Draw Date. If a winner for a Prize Draw cannot be contacted using reasonable efforts within 5 days from the Prize Draw Date for that Draw Period, then an alternative winner will be drawn from the entries for that Draw Period. Prizes can be delivered to UK postal addresses only.

3.3.11 There is no cash alternative. We reserve the right to award an alternative prize of equal or greater value, should the advertised prize or any part of it become unavailable. The result of the Prize Draw is final and non-negotiable. The name and county of each winner will be available on request by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Ryman Rewards, Marketing, Ryman House, Savory Road, Crewe, CW1 6NA and may be posted online.

3.3.12 Each winner may be asked to participate in PR activity related to the Prize Draw as notified by Ryman Limited, including, but not limited to, press releases or quotes for marketing materials.

3.3.13 We reserve the right to cancel or amend the Prize Draw or these rules at any time without prior notice, with no liability to any entrants.

3.3.14 We can accept no responsibility for entries which fail to be properly submitted for any technical reason whatsoever, and will reject entries submitted by any other means.

         

4. Employee Membership and Benefits

 

4.1 Employees of Robert Dyas, Ryman, Boux Avenue and London Graphic Centre will be automatically registered for Ryman Rewards membership with their work email address (if they have one). Where colleagues do not have a work email address, the personal email address they provided to HR upon joining the business will be used to register their Ryman Rewards account. General membership terms in Section 2 are applicable, such as UK resident and age requirements. 

 

4.2 Membership of Ryman Rewards entitles employees to the following:

 

4.2.1 The ability to earn points when spending in our stores, or online. Further information regarding points is outlined below: 

 

i) You must produce your Ryman Rewards ID barcode ("ID") in order to earn and redeem points in-store, or be logged into your Ryman Rewards account to earn and redeem points online; You will receive your ID via email communications from us, and will be able to download it to your digital wallet, should you have one.  Should you register in one of our stores, we may be able to write down your ID at the till for you;

 

ii) 1 point is earned for every £1 spent in-store, or online (exemptions apply from time to time, at our discretion, in respect of certain products/services/offers eg Western Union/DHL transactions). We reserve the right to substitute or remove product ranges/services/offers applicable at any time, without notice; Points cannot be exchanged for cash; All applicable products are subject to availability;

 

iii) Each point has the monetary worth of 1 Pence; You can view your points balance within your Ryman Rewards account online at any time, by logging into your account; 

 

iv) Points can be redeemed at any time within a 24 month period after they are earned, either in-store or online, and converted into discounts which will be apportioned against applicable products (exemptions apply from time to time, at our discretion, in respect of certain products/services eg Western Union/DHL transactions); We reserve the right to substitute or remove product ranges/services/offers available for redemption at any time, without notice;

 

v) Should you return a product(s), your points balance will be deducted accordingly, i.e. any points awarded for the original sale will be deducted from your account;

 

vi) In the event you return a product which was purchased as part of a multibuy deal (e.g. 3 for 2) which you’d paid for partly by redeeming points and partly by card, you will be refunded either fully or partially via points and/or card, at our discretion.

 

4.2.2 Electronic confirmation by email when you shop in-store (by scanning your Ryman Rewards ID when making your purchase), plus the ability to access your receipts relating to any purchases you have made, by logging into your Ryman Rewards account.

 

4.3 In the event an employee does not wish to be eligible to earn/redeem points, they will have the ability to delete their account within the Ryman Rewards section of their online account. Account deletion will result in an employee losing the ability to receive colleague discounts on online purchases and the ability to earn/redeem points. Any points accumulated prior to account deletion will be lost. Employees will be able to re-register online at a later date should they choose to, in order to be eligible to earn/redeem points and access colleague discounts on their online purchases again.

 

4.4 Upon leaving the business, where colleagues are registered with their work email address, they will lose any points accumulated during their tenure with the business. In order to retain accumulated points if they leave, colleagues should update their email address to their personal email address prior to leaving the business. Colleagues who have left the business will lose access to their colleague discount, however will be able to continue to earn and redeem points (assuming they have updated their email address timeously), and will gain access to all the additional benefits which a Ryman Rewards customer receives.

 

5. Membership materials

 

5.1 Ryman Rewards membership numbers, coupons, vouchers, printable Ryman Rewards material and all other Ryman Rewards documents and materials (“Membership Materials”) are issued by and remain the property of Ryman. You must return Membership Materials to Ryman on request, or destroy those Membership Materials when no longer valid for use.

 

5.2 Membership Materials cannot be transferred, bought, sold or in any way traded.

 

5.3  The Promoter reserves the right to alter the conditions of use and/or to withdraw the Membership Materials at any time.

 

6. Cancellation of your Ryman Rewards membership

 

6.1 You may cancel your Ryman Rewards membership at any time, by signing into your Ryman Rewards account and selecting “Delete My Account”.  This will result in you no longer being entitled to enjoy the Member benefits associated with Ryman Rewards membership. You will lose access to your Member benefits, order history and your points. You will also be opted out of future marketing communications. 

 

6.2 A breach of the Terms associated with Ryman Rewards, or an abuse of Ryman Rewards, in each case as reasonably determined by us, will entitle us to cancel your Ryman Rewards membership, without prior notice. We reserve the right to take any further action we deem necessary.

 

7. Variation or Termination of Ryman Rewards

 

7.1 We reserve the right to terminate or suspend Ryman Rewards (whether in part or in its entirety), or vary it, or these Terms, at any time.

 

7.2 If we terminate or make other significant changes to Ryman Rewards, we shall take reasonable and appropriate steps to make you aware of such termination or significant changes, by posting the amended terms on our website, and advising you by email. If we change these Terms and you do not agree to the Terms as amended, you may cancel your Ryman Rewards membership. 

 

7.3 If you continue to use your Ryman Rewards membership after the Terms have been amended, you indicate your acceptance of the updated Terms, and agree to be bound by them.

 

8. Our liability

 

8.1 We accept no liability under or in connection with these Terms or their subject matter for any:

 

i) loss which is not foreseeable (loss is foreseeable if it was an obvious consequence of our breach or if it was contemplated by you and us at the time we both entered into these Terms);

 

ii)  loss which arises whereby we are not at fault or in breach of these Terms; or,

 

iii) business loss (which includes loss of profits, loss of business, contracts, goodwill, business opportunity and other similar losses).

 

8.2 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability which cannot be limited or excluded by law.

 

9. Events beyond our reasonable control

 

9.1 In the event circumstances transpire which prevent, or delay us from complying with our obligations to you in relation to Ryman Rewards, for example acts by you, or other incidents beyond our reasonable control (such as fire, floods, acts of God, trade disputes, lockouts, restrictions of imports or exports, riots, accidents, civil disruption, acts of terrorism or war), our inability or delay in performing our obligations will not be deemed to be in breach of these Terms. 

 

10. Waiver and Severance

 

10.1 Any failure or delay by us in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms, shall not prevent us from being able to enforce that, or any other, right or remedy at a later time.

 

10.2 If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by any court, or other competent authority, all other provisions will remain in full force and effect.

 

11. Assignment

 

11.1 We may transfer any of our rights and/or transfer, sub-contract or delegate any of our obligations under these Terms. 

 

11.2 These Terms are personal to you, and are entered into by you, for your own benefit, and not for the benefit of any third party. 

 

12. Your information

 

12.1 Ryman will collect and use information about you, which includes the information you provide when registering (such as your name and email address), plus any other personal information you provide, or that is generated about you, in connection with your membership and use of Ryman Rewards, such as details of purchases you make. 

 

12.2 We will use your information to: 

 

(i) administer your membership to Ryman Rewards, and to communicate with you in connection with your membership (via the postal address or email address you provided at registration);

 

(ii)  understand your purchasing preferences to enable us to improve our products and services; 

 

(iii) provide you (should you opt-in to receive such correspondence) with information about products, services, promotions and offers by email or by post. We may analyse the purchases you make, to enable us to send you information that is most likely to interest you; 

 

(iv)  provide you with a record of your online orders and in-store purchases; 

 

(v)  monitor and run our business, for customer profiling; and 

 

(vi) prevent, detect and investigate fraud and other criminal activity, and prosecute offenders.

13.     Governing law

 

13.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms will be dealt with exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.
